Tattletale uses Cellemetry™, a new cellular technology, to provide a wireless data link to tattletale dispatch. With Cellemetry™ tattletale sends a one-way data packet over the digital data control channel of the existing cellular network in 6/10 of a second.
 

This technology is superior to phone line monitoring because phone lines are inherently vulnerable, readily identifiable, and thieves typically cut them before entering a site. Cutting the line does not effect tattletale's performance because there is no phone line. The wireless signal also eliminates the chance that a telephone line power surge will cause a false alarm.

This wireless digital network covers 95% of the cellular service areas in the United States and 100% in Canada, with no roaming and no long distance charge.

The data control channel is separate from the voice channel. This is the carriers "maintenance pipeline" for their cellular network. This channel is only 20% utilized at any given time allowing an unimpeded signal every time.
