RJ31X JACK WIRING

Wire your RJ31X jack as shown above, then bring a 4 wire cable to where your phone lines enter your premises. Take the (Red & Green) wires off the terminals that are coming into your premises, and connect them to the Yellow & Black of the 4 wire cable you just brought over. Put the Red & Green wires from the cable that you just brought over onto the terminals where the original Red & Green ones were (these are the ones that you just took off and and spliced to Yellow & Black.
